CONTINUING EDUCATION LINKS  Promises to match or beat any price for comparable offerings.Students can earn 2 free CEUs by taking a no-cost "test drive."  CE courses are offered for a wide spectrum of health professionals;  add the /emt for selections for EMTs and paramedics.  The home page of the organization that reviews and accredits online continuing-ed offerings for EMS has ample listings of accredited courses.   The online home of AAOS' "Orange Book" series, from EMS publishes Jones & Bartlett, this site also includes CE materials for the EMT-Basic.  Offers a large library of courses, including a free course (concerning a shotgun wound to the chest) for interested students to try.  From medical publisher Jones & Bartlett, this site offers a number of online courses in CPR, AEDs, etc.   For additional CEUs, visit this site and take the Gold Cross electronic tests;  free to NJ volunteer EMTs.  Subscriptions to this publication are also free to NJ volunteer EMTs.

LINKS  The journal of emergency care, rescue and transportation.  CEU credits are available to those who pass the review featured in each issue.   The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers a PDF bioterrorism overview, as well as specific instruction on such topics as anthras, smallpox, etc. via a variety of methods.  The site provides a large collection of resources to assist users' compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.  Links to the CMS' HIPAA site, corrections, updates, enforcement guidance and more are included.   The National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder offers its entire "Disaster Mental Health Services:  A Guidebook for Clinicians and Administrators" online.  A career-development site for EMS providers, EMSresource offers information and links on training/education, scene safety, grants/funding, field references and more.   The results of a round-table discussion on patient safety, including issues of policy/administration, research and technology, are presented here by NHTSA.
